    • Richardson revealed Thursday that he played...

Richardson revealed Thursday that he played with a chipped collarbone and his AC joint had separated last season, ESPN reports. "Toward the end of the season I felt a lot more comfortable, but the other time I was more injured," Richardson said.

Analysis: Richardson had a miserable 2.9 YPC in his 14 games with Indianapolis last season. This injury may have been a factor, but Richardson's performance was so disappointing that it was likely only a small component. He enters training camp as the leading candidate to start at running back, but faces close competition from Ahmad Bradshaw and Vick Ballard.

    • Miller will open up training camp...

Miller will open up training camp as the Dolphins number one running back, according to the Miami Herald's Armando Salguero.

Analysis: Knowshon Moreno will open up camp on the physically unable to perform list but isn't expected to be out more than another week or two which means Miller's stint as the team's number one back could be short lived. That may be the pessimistic viewpoint but that doesn't mean that Miller won't have a role in the team's offense. It would seem unlikely that Moreno would be a true number one back but more of a 1A and 1B with Miller.

    • Gordon (suspension) will still report to...

Gordon (suspension) will still report to training camp, despite checking himself into a rehab facility following his July 5 DWI arrest, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Analysis: Gordon, if anything, will help his image in the eyes of both the public and the league by deciding to seek help after his recent arrest. He reportedly spent two weeks at the facility, but plans to report to training camp as expected on Friday. Gordon has an appeal hearing with NFL officials on Aug. 1 due to a previously failed drug test, and the ruling will determine whether or not the 2013 receiving yards leader will play in the upcoming season. His recent behavior at least suggests a turnaround, and couldn't hurt his chances of receiving a slight break from the ruling committee.

    • Branch has passed his physical and...

Branch has passed his physical and is now eligible to practice with the Bills when they return to the field Friday.

Analysis: It sounds like he simply showed up to camp slightly out of shape, as no injury has been reported. Branch is expected to start the season as a backup defensive tackle, though he or teammate Stefan Charles could be in for a heavier-than-normal workload if Marcell Dareus ends up getting suspended for part of September.

    • Dareus has passed his physical and...

Dareus has passed his physical and is now eligible to practice with the Bills when they return to the field Friday.

Analysis: Failing his initial physical was yet another embarrassment for Dareus following an offseason full of them. He'll now get to work on earning the trust of the coaches and his teammates again, though he's still not out of the woods on a possible suspension to start the campaign.
